Magnesia Carbon Slide Gate Plates (MgO-C) are premium-grade basic refractory plates designed specifically for casting highly aggressive steels, including calcium-treated steels, high-manganese steels, stainless steels, and clean steel grades. Formulated with high-purity sintered or fused magnesia aggregates, carbonaceous binders, and natural crystalline flake graphite, these plates offer peerless chemical resistance and mechanical durability.

Unlike standard alumina-based refractories, which react and erode quickly under the chemical attack of calcium and basic slags, the basic MgO structure of Magnesia Carbon plates provides superior chemical corrosion resistance. This makes them ideal for casting clean steels where slag and steel chemistry are highly basic. The integrated carbon matrix ensures excellent thermal shock resistance, preventing structural spalling and maintaining high sliding surface integrity under severe operating conditions.
