Insulating Firebricks (IFB) are highly porous refractory bricks designed to minimize heat loss and reduce the overall thermal mass of the furnace lining.
Manufactured from high-purity refractory clays and combustible burn-out additives, these bricks feature a highly uniform cellular structure. They offer excellent insulating value and can be used either as hot-face linings in clean gas-fired kilns or as high-strength backup insulation behind dense firebricks and castables in heavier metallurgical applications.
