STEELMAKING REFRACTORIES (LRF, EAF & LADLE APPLICATIONS)

Delta Sections

Delta Sections for Steelmaking and Ladle Applications
Product Overview

Delta Sections

The Delta Section is the central, critical component of the Electric Arc Furnace roof, containing the ports through which the graphite electrodes pass. It endures the most severe conditions in the furnace, including extreme temperature fluctuations, radiant heat, and mechanical vibration from the electrodes.

We manufacture highly advanced, pre-cast and pre-fired Delta Sections using ultra-low cement, high-alumina, or alumina-spinel castables reinforced with stainless steel fibers. These monolithic blocks offer vastly superior thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength compared to traditional bricked deltas, significantly reducing installation time and extending roof life.

  • Pre-cast and pre-fired for immediate installation and rapid heat-up
  • Exceptional resistance to thermal shock and electrode vibration
  • Steel fiber reinforcement provides high fracture toughness
  • Significantly extends the overall service life of the EAF roof
